Common Eider and Cory's Shearwater
Did the Miami CBC on the boat today with Shane Runyon, Nico Salino, and Noah "Eagle Eye" Frade. Not much offshore, but we found a Cory's Shearwater feeding in the inlet at Government Cut, then on the way back into Black Pt. Marina Noah spotted a Common Eider on the rocks among the cormorants. Unfortunately it was on the very last rock during high tide out past the last mangroves, and a boat is required to get out there. There were also at least 15 Black Scoters near the jetty on the north side and a Horned Grebe on the south side. Great spot Noah!
