Identified two Clay-colored Sparrows this morning (NOV 17, 2016) in west Miramar. First saw two unidentified sparrows with very white undersides-- only got momentary looks and no photos but they reminded me of Chipping or Clay-colored. Then, on the way back from the West Miramar WCA near the entrance I was watching a hummingbird in the Firebush and a single Clay-colored Sparrow appeared. Walking home (a few doors from the entrance) I saw a sparrow on a neighbor's lawn. It flew into a tree and Bingo! Another Clay-colored!.These were the first i have recorded in the WCA, the 168th species reported here.
