Seventeen birders joined me for the walk today on a beautiful and sunny day. Forty-one bird species were seen by all or some birders. Eleven warbler species. Cattle Egret Turkey Vulture Black Vulture Red-shouldered Hawk American Kestrel Ring-billed Gull White-crowned Pigeon Eurasian Collared Dove Rock Pigeon White-winged Dove Monk Parakeet Mitred Parakeet Red-bellied Woodpecker Yellow-bellied Sapsucker Eastern Phoebe White-eyed Vireo Blue-headed Vireo Yellow-throated Vireo Blue Jay Blue-gray Gnatcatcher Ruby-crowned Kinglet (photographed by a birder on the way to joining us late) Gray Catbird N. Mockingbird Starling Tennessee Warbler Orange-crowned Warbler Northern Parula Cape May Warbler Yellow-rumped Warbler Prairie Warbler Palm Warbler Yellow-throated Warbler Black-and-white Warbler American Redstart Ovenbird Summer Tanager Northern Cardinal Indigo Bunting Common Grackle Boat-tailed Grackle Baltimore Oriole (several seen, adult males and females and an immature male)
