I birded Kendall Indian Hammocks Park this morning between rain showers. In addition to photographing eight feral cats, (data form and photographs to be submitted for today's Halloween Feral Cat Count), I encountered the following 30 bird species, plus one other taxon: 1 Cattle Egret 3 White Ibis 6 Turkey Vulture 2 Eurasian Collared-Dove 1 Mourning Dove 1 Ruby-throated Hummingbird 5 Red-bellied Woodpecker 1 American Kestrel 23 Mitred/Red-masked Parakeet 4 Eastern Phoebe 1 White-eyed Vireo 1 Yellow-throated Vireo 1 Blue-headed Vireo 12 Blue Jay 1 House Wren 22 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 5 Gray Catbird 1 Brown Thrasher 12 Northern Mockingbird 3 European Starling 5 Ovenbird 7 Black-and-white Warbler 4 American Redstart 5 Northern Parula 4 Black-throated Blue Warbler 18 Palm Warbler 2 Prairie Warbler 1 Black-throated Green Warbler 3 Northern Cardinal 25 Common Grackle 1 Boat-tailed Grackle
