I rode my bike north on the L-31W canal just east of the Everglades National Park entrance along 9336. I had six species of flycatchers out there as well as some warblers, buntings and raptors. A returning Tropical Kingbird, Vermilion Flycatcher, (female) and Scissor-tailed Flycatchers were at the second water control structure. A Least Flycatcher was at the first water control structure, west side. They are clearing weeds out of the water flow area just north of the first water control structure, this could be good for ducks this winter. It was a nice morning with a cool breeze again! Least Flycatcher Scissor-tailed Flycatcher Tropical Kingbird Vermilion Flycather, female Eastern Phoebe Great Crested Flycatcher I had lots of dragonflies and a nice male White-tailed Deer.
