I birded for a couple of hours at Lucky Hammock and the Annex area this morning. Lucky Hammock had a nice assortment of birds, the Annex had fewer birds. I made a partial list of birds below and attached some photos. Red-eyed Vireo White-eyed Vireo Chestnut-sided Warbler on a utility wire. Palm Warbler Yellow-throated Warbler Prairie Warbler American Redstart Ovenbird Louisiana Waterthrush, late for one but some stay for the winter. Northern Waterthrush Common Yellowthroat Yellow-breasted Chat Alder Flycatcher, calling. Least Flycatcher also calling. Scissor-tailed Flycatcher Short-tailed Hawk Broad-winged Hawk Red-shouldered Hawk American Kestrel Sharp-shinned Hawk American Bald Eagle The weather was beautiful with a nice cool breeze out of the north.
