Cameron Cox posted this a few hours ago to a Florida Birding Facebook page, "Just had a juv Mangrove Swallow fly past Curry Hammock ST Park. I want to stress that the bird is no longer in Curry Hammock St Park and that the park is closed today and probably tomorrow too. The bird was with about 20 Cliff Swallows that were moving rapidly SW. Look for it in the lower Keys particularly Key West. If there is a spot on KW where swallows gather with fresh water it would be the ideal spot to look. The bird came by so quickly that I got zero @&$#* photos. Would love for someone to get a documentation shot" David Simpson also posted, "Mangrove Swallow just passed south passed Florida Keys Hawkwatch at Curry Hammock State Park. Juvenile with about 20 Cliff Swallows. Cameron Cox picked it out. No photos!" Miami-Dade should have similar possibilities for blown in swallows, swifts and/or martins. The 107th avenue rock quarry and Cutler Wetland seem like great spots to start looking.
