Arch Creek and Enchanted Forest Parks were very active today (11:30am-4:30pm), with Caribbean migrants dominated by American Redstarts, Black-throated Blues, Common Yellowthroats, Ovenbirds, Blackpolls, Cape Mays, Northern Waterthrush, Black & White Warblers, and Northern Parulas. A striking male Blackburnian Warbler was observed at Arch Creek Park plus Gray-cheeked Thrush, Small waves of warblers (mostly Redstarts), kept coming into the park in the late afternoon. If you go to bird in either of these two parks in N.E. Miami-Dade County, be prepare for very hungry mosquitoes.
