On Friday September 23rd., by son and I had at least five different hummingbirds at Castellow Hammock. Two were female type Rufous Hummingbirds, as well as two female Ruby-throated Hummingbirds and at least two male Ruby-throated Hummingbirds. There was one Rufous Hummingbird found along the entrance road, just west of the picnic shelter. It was feeding on the numerous flowering Firebush shrubs. The other was on the south side of the entrance road sitting on top of a Satinleaf tree just south of the parking area.
