2001, John Boyd found a female Ruff (known as a Reeve) in the fields near the racetrack in Homestead. This was back when sometimes our ag fields were in decent enough shape for shorebirds, before everything was converted to nurseries. BTW, today's posting required me to identify all the pictures with trains in order to prove I'm not a robot. But guess what, I really am! Bwa ha ha!!
