I stopped by the intersection of CR 9336 and sw 217th avenue to check for any swallows moving through the area. I tallied two species, Cliff and Barn Swallow with the latter being the more abundant. While scanning through the ag field on the north side of CR 9336 I came across a small flock of Black-bellied Plovers when I noticed a bird that was daintier than the others. After watching it for a couple minutes the bird fluttered and flashed the white auxiliaries. As I attempted to get closer a Laughing Gull came over and flushed the whole flock south out of sight. I'll head back tomorrow morning and hopefully the bird is around and a little more cooperative.
