The Thick billed Vireo location had continuous coverage from 5 minutes after the morning sighting until 7 pm without a second sighting. On a circitous route and only stops goes to the known location in the morning? Some more specific directions for the time crunched twitchers doing the vireo trail this weekend. The parking lot is the first lot on the right. Signed lot#1 The trail head has a sign and as previously posted is at the North end of the lot The trail starts as a Boardwalk. You want to get off the boardwalk just past the Florida Privet. Follow the trail left at the Spanish Stopper sign. At the gumbo Limbo sign take a right until the flagging tape. The gumbo limbo is back in from the trail, from the best view of the tree crown you can't see the base. In the 4 hours I was there this afternoon/evening saw a total of 5 species snd heard another.
