I spent a couple of hours walking around Indian Hammocks Park this morning, and found some early migration activity. First thing in the morning, I found a feeding flock in the oaks adjacent to the east parking area, including 6 Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, 2 Yellow-throated Warblers, 2 Prairie Warblers, and 3 Black-and-white Warblers. Later, I added another B&W, and I ended up with 14 gnatcatchers for the day. Quite unexpected was a Chuck-will's-widow which flushed out of a tree in the hammock. Also seen in the hammock were 2 Red-eyed Vireos. Full list on eBird.
