Bird A Day website
Rock called me just after noon to let me know he was looking at the Chat at the Palmetto Bay Center. I presume this is the same chat that wintered and was seen and recorded in the CBC. I ran over with my camera in hand, but the bird had disappeared. Rock helped me relocate the bird several times but only got really poor and brief looks. I hung around about an hour or so knowing the bird was there. I was hoping for a photo since I don't have any good chat photos. I did get a few ID shots but that’s all. There were also several Catbirds, Cardinals and a Northern Parula. Spring is coming. I'm hoping for some more really good birds. This has already been a great year for marquee birds for south Florida. If only we would get a few in Dade county.
