Past fall there has been (for Broward) a significant number of Western Kingbird & Scissor-tailed Flycatchers seen. Western Kingbirds: Oct 29 Plantation Preserve, Nov 10 Lox Road, Nov 29 & Dec 8 Markham Park. Tropical Kingbird: Nov 09-12 Lox Road Scissor-Tailed Flycatcher: Various locations most near the Everglade Management areas. Oct 24, 25, 29 & 30, and in Nov 11 & 18. Yesterday on Dec 11, while biking around Everglades WMA-2b there were 3 Western Kingbirds (possible 4th) and 3 ST Flycatchers. 2 Western Kingbirds were on a wire with the 3 ST Flycatchers across the road (27) from Sawgrass Recreational Park. 4 miles west from the park along the trial was definitely 1 bird with a possible 2nd bird with him.
