Tried for the Black-legged Kittiewake again today from 10 to 11am before deciding to make a run for the spindalis. The pier was full of fishermen and the few gulls hanging around were constantly being flushed off. Arrived at Markham park at about 1pm (made a brief detour for the Neotropic Cormorant at Wakodahatchee where we got it off the bat) to find a giant festival going on. Helicopters, motorcycles, banner planes and a live concert concerned me but after about an hour the bird made a brief showing before heading into the dog park. It continues to associate with the Spot-breasted Orioles.
