Toe, American white pelican

They are an uncommon winter visitor, rarely seen in South Florida except in places like Snake Bight where they can be found in the hundreds. But, I have seen them throughout the year, included a few in June at the CEMEX lake along US-1 on the 18-mile stretch. They used to turn up now and then at odd times at Cutler Wetlands. The two you saw may not even leave.
