Steve, the area labeled CLR-etc. (formerly County Line Rd) is used to denote the area locally known as the "Parkland Wedge", i.e the area bordered by Loxahatchee Rd on the north, W. Hillsboro Blvd. (formerly County Line Rd.) on the south, University Ave on the east and the L-36 Canal on the west. This area was transferred from Palm Beach County to Broward County in 2010 (IIRC). To this day, if one tries to put a marker in that area in eBird, it will mark it in PBC. That's why all the markers are situated along the south side of W. Hillsboro. Sadly, most of the prime birding lands are now gone as the farms and wet meadows are/have been converted into housing developments. Many of the reports in the last couple of years have come from the construction zones, which are rapidly disappearing. The L-36 Canal Greenway still offers some good birding, attracting numerous flycatchers and warblers. The greenway is accessible from either the end of W. Hillsboro where there is a nice new parking area (then walk west to canal) or the end of Loxahatchee Rd. Miramar WCA is accessible either via Miramar Pkwy (drive to end, park by gate and walk around the gate on the right) or via Pembroke Rd off of Rt 27 (drive to gate near the Waste Management facility - park well of the road - and walk in). Most reports come from the Miramar Pkwy side.
