Brian, Without a tail shot I had to classify the Bird as Rufous/Allens (immature or female) on the first report. At plantation preserve the bird claimed the firebush area where the golf carts cross the trail (1/2 way point). Went back two days later (Oct 5) the bird was back and present most of the day protecting the spot from several Ruby-throats. I did get the perfect spread tail shot but don't know what to look for.. Today Oct 6 in the late morning the spot might have been taken by a Ruby-throated Hummingbird.
