We were excited to see a beautiful bald eagle circling over our backyard in east Parkland just before noon today. It was probably in its early 5th year as there was still some mottling in the wings. A pair of ospreys was harassing it until it soared higher and we lost it in the sun as it appeared to be headed southeast --probably towards the landfill as we used to have frequent sightings in Coconut Creek before a hurricane destroyed the canopy of their favored roosting spot.
