I saw the Swainson's warbler today (2/17) at about 9:45 am. I think I saw it at the same spot as described above. I marked the dirt trail to the right of the paved path with an X made from two bamboo sticks. The dirt trail begins about 50 feet beyond the clearing in the forest near the railroad tracks and the locked gate through the fence. Follow the path about 20-30 feet into the woods, and listen for chipping. The bird was making a racket when I saw it, and was foraging very close to an ovenbird.
