We exited the canoe rental area. Turned left at the exit and followed the shoreline east. At the next point(Christian Pt.), near the two wooden channel markers, we turned left and headed NNE toward the distant shore, where there were large concentrations of waders present. On the far right hand edge of these birds near the shore we found one bright adult and an immature bird. We were able to get within about 50yds of them without disturbing them. We were at high tide and a significant part of the approach was in just a few inches of water. The birds were not visible when we made the turn at Christian Pt.
