I am conducting a Painted Bunting banding effort and am very interested in banding the "early" arriving Painted Buntings especially those in Martin, Palm Beach, and Saint Lucie counties (but will consider other locations). I typically band at feeders from October to April and these birds are known to go to Georgia, NC and SC. It is entirely possible that these August-arriving birds breed in FL and disperse earlier than the ones that breed farther north.
