Decided to brave the all-day rain today at Green cay, walking around with an umbrella and my camera - the chickee hut area has been pretty good the past two weekends so I was hoping it would be again. Some of the same birds were around as last week - yellow-throated warblers, red-eyed vireo, black and white warbler...but the big find was a lovely adult male prothonotary warbler, who was actively hopping all around the wet branches and didn't seem to mind my presence at all. I have only seen a prothonotary once before, and it was about 2 years ago in this same spot in Green Cay.
