I know it is a bad thing, but the only reason there are any shore birds at Cutler Wetland is that vehicles tore the ground up enough to expose earth and removed the grass and other vegetation. If the vegetation were still there there would be no place for shorebirds... We need more scraped areas for the birds to land. There is either too much water or if the levels are low enough too much vegetation. That area is the only area where I've seen shorebirds at Cutler Wetland this year except for Black-necked Stilts.
