Early this morning I had a Swainson's Warbler at R Hardy Matheson County Preserve (not Matheson Hammock). Heading towards the bay on the main trail, the bird was on the ground around 50 yards in on the second trail that connects to the left-hand (northeast) side of the main trail. I later heard its sharp call note multiple times. Later on at the end of the main trail at the bay, I had a Mississippi Kite fly over. Other migrants and birds of interest included the following:
N. Parula
American Redstart
Yellow-throated Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Ovenbird
Red-eyed Vireo
Black-whiskered Vireo
Barn Swallow
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
E. Kingbird
"Traill's Flycatcher" (near trailhead)
White-crowned Pigeon
Belted Kingfisher (FOTS for me)
Spotted Sandpiper
