I stepped out for a short while this morning looking for Fall Migration and it is definitely in progress. First I found Bill B. walking down Aerojet Rd... then I spotted Bonnie P. lurking around Lucky Hammock on the North Corner... soon after Paul B. and Kevin S. flew in and made a showing. Great to see old friends and bird a bit also.

We all heard and saw a couple of Alders, a young scruffy looking early Painted Buntings, lots of Barn and Bank Swallows. There was a Baltimore Oriole around as well.

I went into the park and looked at the scrapes and found only two Greater Yellowlegs.

On my way home I stopped at Cutler Wetland and found a variety of shorebirds in the swale to the north. There are also a couple of Blue-wing Teal and a single Spoonbill.
