Christi Carmichael & I paddled on a high tide to the NW edge of Snake Bight this morning. We hoped for flamingos and Wilson's Phalaropes (I saw some of the latter around the same time last year), but no luck. Regardless, we had lots of birds:

American White Pelican: 6

Great Blue Heron (white morph): 6
Great Egret: 10
Snowy Egret: 5
Little Blue Heron: 10
Tricolored Heron: 12
Reddish Egret: 7 (2 white morph)
BC Night-Heron: 1
White Ibis: 10
Roseate Spoonbill: 95
Turkey Vulture: 3
Osprey: 3
Clapper Rail (2 heard, 1 seen)
Black-bellied Plover: 15
Wilson's Plover: 5
Semipalmated Plover: 20
Black-necked Stilt: 12
Greater Yellowlegs: 2
Lesser Yellowlegs: 6
Willet: ~250
Spotted Sandpiper: 3
Marbled Godwit: 70
Ruddy Turnstone: 12
Red Knot: 15
Semipalmated Sandpiper (present)
Western Sandpiper (present)
Least Sandpiper (present)
Short-billed Dowitcher: 30
Laughing Gull: 30
Royal Tern: 4
Forster's Tern: 8
