The Smooth-billed Ani is still present at Virginia Key adjacent to the sewage processing plant. It was observed from about 11:15-11:30 in the island of bushes just East of the 'Duck Pond'. It vocalized a couple of times, and was seen dropping into bushes a couple of times. It was last seen flying south towards a group of conifers (Australian Pine?) along the bike path. Some shorebirds were also present mostly Black-bellied Plovers and Black-necked Stilts and some peeps (unfortunately I didn't have my scope handy to get a good look at them).
