The Red-necked Stint was located at 10:00 AM. It did not fly in at that time. It was on the seaweed and appeared to be defending a territory. A couple with a large dog splashing in the water had walked along the beach toward this area - maybe around 8:30 AM. The bird was watched from 10:00 AM until 12:15 PM. For some time after that [about 2 more hours], this location was occasionally checked and the bird was there.
