Hey Donna,
A few passerines that breed in the southeastern United States are among the first to return to South Florida by late July. Among gnatcatchers and Yellow-throated Warblers could be Red-eyed Vireos, Prairie Warblers and Louisiana Waterthrushes, followed by Northern Parulas, Yellow Warblers, Ovenbirds, and American Redstarts as we move into August.
I had six Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Prairie Warbler, and two Black-and-white Warblers in Miami Shores today.
Best,
Alex
