Female Piping Plover on Crandon Beach at low tide today, 07/21/14

Today there was a female Piping Plover on Crandon Beach right at low tide. Here's what Robin Diaz told me about the little lady:

Rangel [Diaz] found her on 7/24/13 and here are her stats from last year:
Of,GG:X,Y female hatched at Ludington Beach State Park; nested on North Manitou Island (Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore) returned 7/24/13 but seen in MI by Alice on 7/22/13! Her second winter on Crandon.

Two people who helped me confirm my and my son's identification told me that the Piping Plovers start to arrive around now.

Tomorrow, low tide is at about 11:45 AM. Hope it's helpful.
