Buff-bellied Hummingbird -- Sat 2/10/06

I made a quick trip to the Fairchild Tropical Garden today and was rewarded with great looks at the Buff-bellied Hummingbird at about 2:30 p.m. I had waited less than 10 minutes before it showed up. Also saw the Ruby-throated / Black-chinned Hummingbird. I would probably weigh in for R-t, but won't get into that debate! Anyway, the Buff-bellied was unmistakable and very cooperative. A Parula Warbler was also working the blossoms.
