Said eagle flew over my son and me 3 times at the Marsh, up and down the canal next to the west pond near Mt. Trashmore.
Dark head, dark over all, looked splotchy from the side. silvery whitishness on the shoulders. Dark and thick beak, yellow legs. Slow wing beats, spread pinions (correct term?).
My son said about the eagle, "First summer". I think he was right.
The birds on Mt. Trashmore flew up en masse twice as the eagle flew over from the south.
Impressive.
