The largest of SUV's could safely negotiate the half gravel and half paved 20 mile loop. There is enough room for two cars to safely pass each other on most of the road. The road is high and dry. While I am at it,a little caveat. It is illegal to remove plants,animals or snails from the Big Cypress Preserve. Orchid thieves and Liguus fasciatus or Orthalicus floridensis tree snail collectors are subject to arrest and stiff fines. I myself had my car searched Saturday and appreciated the enforcement by the park service. As far as the second question, the Village charter places the Council President, Spencer Deno IV in charge in my absence.
