A flock of at least 6 Orange-cheeked Waxbills was seen this morning at Zoo Miami in a weedy area near a pine forest. My brother who works there says they have been seen there for several months and the flock is of about 10 birds. They were never part of their collection. An Atala Butterfly was also seen as well as an Eastern Cottontail rabbit.

At the field in front of Baptist Hospital on Kendall Dr and SW 165 Ave I had 2 Cave Swallows and 1 female Bronzed Cowbird.

The lake in Kendale Lakes (SW 137th ave and 82 St) had at least 10 Egyptian Geese. I was surprised to see a Ring-billed Gull there but then realized it had a broken wing and seems to survive on handouts.
