Good job documenting that rare cat sighting. I've spent more than 30 years hanging out in the Glades and Big Cypress, and I've yet to see a panther (did get one in Belize, though). Were you in a car when you saw it, or were you walking? I'm wondering if it would turn tail and run like that if it encounted a single person on foot, or whether the car noise scared it .

: Great pics...a couple of years ago during NAMC survey I saw a cat disappear into the brush in the same area, but I could never conclusively eliminate Bobcat..congratulations!
