I finally made it to Fairchild Gardens to look for the Buff-bellied and the
Black Chinned. The Buff-bellied was easy to find. It's call is distinctly
different than the Ruby-throats that were also around. The call is louder and
more metallic. I found it in the same area where Alex and Larry reported. It
didn't cooperate in the time I had to photograph. The only place it stayed still
long enough was at its perch. I was hoping it would perch in the sun light, but
nothing doing today.
I never saw a Black Chinned.
