duplicate posting. See below for xreference

Update on terns> The road is now called Hillsboro Blvd and there is no longer a reference to "County Line road". The gate houses are now finished. Yes the birds are located twixt the two construction entrances but the hedge prevents easy viewing less you push through it. The new wet land mitigation area is to the east of the terns nesting and a water course of some width separate you so approach has to be from the west. The yellow tape and FWC tapes and posting are in place but blow down-over-away with every afternoon thunderstorm. I have replaced them two times. The construction crews appear helpful and considerate of the nesting area...they even lent a heavy hammer to replant the sign post back into the hard rock/sand.

This nesting site is not as big as LagoMar was last year on the beach. Stilts, nighthawks, killdeer were also evident. Not much I could do last year because LagoMar was far away but this site is in my "backyard" so to speak. So, I'll watch it for developments.

So, University drive north until it dead ends. Turn west on Hillsboro Rd for a distance until you pass the electric substation, keep going, and you come to a construction entrance with cement blocks dropped in place. However you want to enter the site you than go back eastward and you will see the FWC posts and yellows tape. Your Audubon card may prove helpful to view and help out FWC. When Ileft Sunday night there were NO tire tracks through the nesting area. All was quiet.

Best I can do folks. The chicks are preconscious so whatever hatches should clear the area by mid-July.

I obtained permission for entry and service to the area from the construction foremen.
