Dear All:

Here is the ebird list for my nature walk to Virginia Key Park with students, but it is incomplete I need feedback with ID'ing a shorebird.

A flock of about 20 shorebirds flew in from the west during lunch. I think they were sanderlings because they had a black stripe on the top of their tail with white stripes on either side, a white belly, grey back and wings, and they were very fast.

They jumped first one jetty on the beach as a group, then another, and another, then flew off to the same direction they came from.

Thoughts? Your help would be appreciated.
