Heard a strange bird sound this morning and honed in on limbs of neighbor's huge gumbo limbo and saw black and white bird the size of mourning dove with bright red throat. It flew to another huge tree two houses over and I got a great view as he passed over my yard. This is on sw 30 rd and coral way. Now 12 hours later I have looked it up and found exact photo of my visitor as the red throated grosbeak in migration. Never seen or heard of it until now. Quite thrilled. Only one bird flying solo.
