Hope you enjoyed your outing, Brian. Here's our ebird list:

I suspect there was fallout yesterday from the weather system that just came by. One impressive image yesterday was watching the warblers flit back and forth like butterflies across an opening in the trees over the 2nd path from the west at Bill Baggs.

Another overwhelming experience was at about 7:10 PM at the Boater's Grill when dozens of warblers at a time streamed the gap between the trees to the SE and the NW, perhaps beginning migration for the night.

My family and I constantly remarked how unbelievable the number of birds was. My older son explains, I'd never seen a fallout before. Forgive us newbies. Perhaps we are easily impressed.

Thanks to Brian for guiding us bit by bit almost every day and teaching us about what winds to look for during migration, and to Angel Abreu for teaching me how to use NOAA's weather radar system on the internet.

I also took my students on a nature walk yesterday, so I was watching weather.com and noaa.gov like a hawk all week (no pun intended). I even took a colleague out to see warblers in our native plants outside MAST. Those lists will hopefully follow.

Best regards.
