In addition to an Arctic Tern, another interesting species off Boynton yesterday was a 14 ft. Great White named Katharine. She was tagged off Cape Cod in August of 2013 by the Ocearch Project and then disappeared, only to turn up off our coast. She is heading south and has come in as shallow as the breakers, but prefers to stay out in 25 feet of water. It's a good thing Great Whites don't really like to eat people. There were other tagged Great Whites that have come into FL waters recently, and additional sightings on non-tagged Great Whites by divers and fishing boats. We're definitely going to need a bigger boat.
