Hi all. I photographed the subject bird at the inlet in Boynton Beach this evening. I posted 5 photos that show the distinguishing field marks for this bird.
It was a textbook ARTE with long tail, all red bill, with a limited dark trailing edge, as well as no dark wedge present in the primaries. This combined with the unique flight style helped to separate it from COTE.
