I was at Lucky Hammock at the same time as Trey (I'm the "Bill" in his posting...I didn't get his name correct either). In addition to the birds he reported, I also saw:
YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT
PILEATED WOODPECKER (2 "chasing" one another)
WHITE-EYED VIREO

The only other bird of note was an EASTERN TOWHEE, seen along the road to Long Pine Key, not far from where the nature trail crosses the road.

I decided to avoid the rain in North Dade and Broward and headed to the Annex
: and ENP. The annex was very birdy, with a wide variety of species. You had your
: waders, your raptors, your warblers, your owl and your flycatcher. Robin
: mentioned that she had seen two Barred Owls at the Annex. I heard them but
: didn't see them until a gentleman from Chicago (Bill?) showed up. He found them
: up in one of the big trees on the other side of the canal.

: At the Annex I saw:

:

GB Heron

: Green Heron

: Purple Gallinule

: Northern Harrier

: Red Shouldered Hawk

: Kestrel

: Swainson's Hawk

: Painted Buntings

: Red-wing Black Birds

: Starlings

: Prairie

: Palm Warbler

: Black & White Warbler

: Parula

: Common Yellow Throat

: Tennessee Warbler

: Heard a White-eyed Vireo

: Barred Owl

I decided to drive down to Flamingo just to see the damage and how things are
: being restored. I made quick stops at just about every major stop. I didn't see
: much out of the ordinary and the further south I went the less there was to see.

Here are photos from the day.
