I got away from the office early (6pm!!!)and decided to make a stop at AD Barnes to look for Connecticut Warbler. Surprisingly, I have never seen this bird in Florida. I focused on Homeless Hammock which was especially quiet until I saw motion low. The bird dropped then popped its head up exposing it's grey head and complete white eye ring. The male bird came into full view when he dropped to the ground and walking away through the vegetation. I then got a second look finding the bird as he flew onto a low branch where he began to preen for close to 10 minutes. An amazing observation of my first Florida CONW.
