A female Connecticut Warbler was present yesterday afternoon under the elevated boardwalk. It was foraging around the logs that are under the boardwalk. A male Painted Bunting is hanging around Homeless Hammock (SE corner of park) feeding on grasses on both sides of the sidewalk. Groups of Blackpoll were encountered along the nature trail along with Redstarts and a few Black-throated Blues. Near the community center were one of each; Scarlet Tanager, Ovenbird and Nortern Waterthrush among the mentioned warbler species and two Worm-eating Warblers. The resident Cooper's Hawk was perched up in the pines west of the fountain.

Even though the species number was low it was nice to have some diversity and a Connecticut! Overall it was a nice walk around the park :)

Nature is Awesome
