Fern Forest: 7 birders braved the deluge forcast. Fern Forest Trails are closed to public. We obtained permission. It was very bird active. Highlights: Pileated(2) Flicker(1), Brown thaser(3), Hermit thrush, BH Vireo(2), WE Vireo,Praire(5), Black and Wh Warb, BT Green (1), Parula (4), grasshoper Sparrow(1).
Windmill Park -Commerce Center Lake- Coot (100), Lesser Scaup(26),Ruddy Duck(22), RN Duck (18) PB Grebe (10)
Ft Lauderdale Exec airport: Burrowing owl (only two visable)
At 1230 Pm The heavens opened up and the rains came, we loaded into our Arks and retreated to dry taverns to "toast" Nature.
