With few passerine migrants to be seen at Barnes, I decided to stop after leaving work to see what was going on at Matheson on the east side of the bridge, especially checking for Yellow Warbler.
No warbler was seen or heard, but on the almost low tide I was very pleased to see a little mini-migration of shorebirds, highlighted by 5 Willets in breeding plumage which, given the heavy streaking I believe were Eastern. Just as surprising was a Wilson's Plover, only the second I've seen there. Also there was a Spotted Sandpiper (with some spots), Semipalmated Plover, 6 Least Sandpipers, and 2 Killdeer. It's been quite some time since I have seen that many species of shorebirds at Matheson in a single day.
The 2nd parking area (the one without the boat launch) had a large puddle which had an immature Reddish Egret and a Yellow-crowned Night Heron
