A quick visit on the east side this morning had a few interesting moments. The highlight was a perched Broad-winged Hawk that was calling incessantly for about 10-15 minutes! I believe this is the first time I've ever heard one vocalize...
Another highlight was having 2 Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers on the same branch, within 6 inches of each other...
Lots of Yellow-rumped Warblers and Gnatcatchers. Other birds included Red-shouldered Hawk, Eastern Phoebe, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, several Northern Parulas, 4 Blue-and-Gold Macaws, and a flock of Yellow-chevroned Parakeets.
